It isn’t simply a matter of making a few phone calls! If you are up for it, follow this plan to a tee! It has worked for many entertainers I know that are making a great living, and hardly ever having to get on an airplane.
I recommend here in a few of these articles that you might want to get an assistant to help with some of the office work involved in this process. If you aren’t afraid of computers and phones, you can do it all yourself. But, if your time is better spent practicing and writing, then by all means hire it out.
